Coronavirus: 52 people and two businesses booked

A total of 52 people and two businesses were booked for in a span of 24 hours for violating coronavirus measures, police said on Sunday.

Between 6am on Saturday and 6am on Sunday, 4,883 inspections were carried out across the island of which 881 were in Nicosia resulting in seven individuals getting booked. In Limassol there were 607 inspections and eight citizens booked while in Larnaca  there were 650 inspections and eight citizens booked.

In Paphos, 1,044 inspections were carried out where three individuals and two premises were booked. In Famagusta, there were 631 checks and 15 citizens booked while in Morphou there were 602 inspections and no bookings. Traffic police booked 11 people after 452 inspections while the marine police carried out 16 checks without any bookings.
