A nine-step check-list to help find a lost dog

Every pet deserves a loving and respectful home: please only consider acquiring a pet if you will be able to take care of its long-term needs. Also, consider choosing your animal companion from a shelter, where there are so many wonderful furry friends who need a forever home.

In this video, veterinarian Dr. Alex Avery goes over the most effective actions to take in the event a pet dog goes missing.

He explains that up to a third of all pets will go missing in their lifetime, and that time is of the essence  in successfully locating and reuniting with your lost companion.

The nine actions he suggests are intended to help you be better prepared in the event of such a disappearance, increasing your chances of finding your missing pooch and bringing them home as fast as possible.
