‘Laughing gas’ party ends in arrest

A 22-year-old man has been charged with having too many people in his home and with possession nitrogen oxide (laughing gas), police said on Sunday.

Police raided the house in Avdimou in Limassol on Saturday night and found 22 people there, a violation of Covid decrees.

They said they also found 21 canisters of laughing gas on the premises.

Police said the 22-year-old organiser of the party, admitted the canisters were his. He was arrested and charged, and also fined under the Covid decrees.

The other partygoers were also fined.
