Woman hit by car, in critical condition

Police on Sunday called on members of the public to help identify a woman who is in critical condition at the Nicosia hospital after being hit by a car in Paphos.

The accident occurred at around 8pm on Saturday on the Peyia to Kathikas road when a car driven by a 30-year-old man hit a woman who was trying to cross the street.

The woman was initially taken to the Paphos hospital but due to the severity of her condition, she was later transferred to the Nicosia general hospital. Her condition is critical police said.

Police call on anyone who may help identify the woman contact the Paphos traffic police or the Citizen Hotline 1460 or their nearest police station.
