The Limassol Wine Festival will celebrate its 60th anniversary this year, in October, after being cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

There will however be some modifications to ensure all health protocols are followed.

The Limassol municipality announced on Friday that the 60th Wine Festival will take place between October 9 and 16 at the municipal garden.

The municipal council said they decided to organise the festival based on the health ministry’s guidelines.

Entry to people 12 and over will only be allowed with a SafePass and a facemask.

Only bottled wine will be available this year, at special prices, while five large restaurants will operate.

There will also be caricature and photography exhibitions about wine as well as lectures at the Pattichion Historical Archive.

On Sunday 10 and 17 of October, events will take place in two Limassol wine villages.

Entrance is €5 for adults and €3 for teenagers 12 to 18.

More details about the events will be announced within the coming days.
