Limassol police HQ

The body of a man found in a Limassol building on Saturday was identified as that of a 35-year-old Bulgarian man who was homeless, police said on Sunday.

According to a police announcement, officers cooperated with social welfare services in a bid to identify him. The cause of death will be determined after an autopsy is carried out.

The man’s body was found by members of the public on Saturday in an abandoned building, with some personal belongings by his side, though none of them were items which could help identify him.

Criminal activity has been ruled out for the time being, police said.
