Coronavirus: 22 people, five businesses fined

In a span of 24 hours, police booked 22 people and 5 businesses for violating coronavirus measures.

Between 6am on Monday and 6am on Tuesday, there were a total of 2,262 inspections across the country.

In Nicosia, there were 645 during which one person and one establishment were fined.

In Limassol, 260 inspections were carried out, of which eight people and two business were booked. Meanwhile, there were 520 inspections in Larnaca, where two people and one business were booked.

Officers in Paphos carried out 76 inspections in which one business and four people were booked. In Famagusta, there were 364 inspections resulting in seven people being booked. In the Morphou area, 166 inspections were carried out and there were no bookings.

Traffic police carried out 198 inspections across the country and there were no bookings.

Inspections at ports and airports did not find any violations.
