Life drawing and a poetry open mic nights coming to Limassol

poetry night

Two events are coming up this week at BLEND.the space in Limassol inviting people from all walks of life to join them – artists, writers, amateurs and anyone in between. On Friday a late-night Life drawing session will take place starting at 8pm.

“Join us in our atmospheric space to draw the magic of the human body,” says BLEND.the space. “Draw the model in a variety of poses, listen to music, relax and enjoy the mood. This is a social gathering to enjoy the process of drawing and being with others.”

All materials are included in the €20 participation fee and guests are welcome to bring their own drinks during the session or purchase something from the bar. Then on Sunday a poetry open mic night will take place at the Limassol venue. From 7pm onwards, the stage will open to welcome anyone who has any words to share.

“Read poetry and listen,” the event description says. “Perform your own stuff or someone else’s. Or just enjoy, listen and ask questions. We are blessed to have so many bright minds that express themselves through poetry.” Text, stories, diary entries and songs also welcome in an atmosphere that promises to be supportive and open to all sorts of expression styles.
