Limassol kiosk robbed at knifepoint

A Limassol kiosk was robbed at knifepoint early on Thursday, with the perpetrator getting away with €560 in cash.

Police said the robbery took place at 4am at a kiosk in Ypsonas. The robber, who wore a hood and had his face covered, jumped over the counter and threatened the employee with a knife.

He then snatched the cash from the till and left the place on foot.

Police cordoned off the scene and went through security camera footage in bid to find the man who spoke with a Cypriot dialect and was described as being around 1.70m tall.
