Traffic back to normal on Paphos-Limassol motorway (updated)

Traffic on the Paphos-Limassol motorway is back to normal, police said after heavy congestion near Ayios Syla following a multi-vehicle collision early in the morning.

Officers were at the scene of the accident to regulate traffic and provide assistance to the public.

Four cars, which were involved in an accident, were removed from the motorway and both lanes were reopened to traffic.

But police urged drivers to be careful, drive at low speeds and maintain a safe following distance due to the traffic jam caused from the officers’ examination to determine the details of the accident.

Two people were transferred to Limassol general hospital as a precaution, police added.
