Man killed in motorway collision with car going the wrong way

A 26-year-old man was killed early Saturday near Limassol in a head-on traffic crash with another car whose driver is in critical condition.

The incident happened at around 1.30am.

The man, a father of one, was on his way to Limassol from Nicosia when he crashed into another car coming from the opposite direction on the motorway after apparently entering the wrong way.

The driver of the second vehicle, a 29-year-old woman is being treated in hospital in critical condition.

Both drivers were foreign nationals.

Police appealed for information regarding the collision.
