Coronavirus: Fines for violating measures

Police Checks

Three businesses and 11 individuals were fined for violating coronavirus measures after 2,292 checks in the government-controlled areas, police said early on Thursday.

Six people were fined in Famagusta after 413 checks, five people, including a business owner were booked in Limassol after 195 checks and one individual in Nicosia following 867 inspections.

One business was also fined in Larnaca after 342 checks and another in Paphos following 187 checks, police said.

No violations were reported in Morphou or by traffic police following 123 and 165 inspections respectively.
