Pensioner jailed for trafficking cannabis

A 75-year-old man was jailed for three and a half years on Monday after he was found guilty of trafficking two kilos of cannabis.

The man was arrested on August 27 after his arrival at Larnaca airport from a European country.

During a baggage check, drug squad and customs officers found two packages containing 2.3 kilos of cannabis.

He was charged with illegal possession of drugs with intent to supply and illegal importation of drugs.
