Yellow weather alert issued for strong winds

The met service on Thursday issued a yellow weather alert warning of strong winds from 11pm until 8am on Friday.

“Near gale to northwesterly winds at force 7 to 8 on the Beaufort scale will be affecting the north, the west and the southwest areas of the island at times,” the met office said, adding that the public should be careful of debris being blown around.
