Coronavirus: Locations for fourth Covid vaccine for eligible groups

The Ministry of Health has announced that as of Monday, April 11, the fourth dose of the Covid vaccine is being administered through walk-in vaccination centres operating in all districts. Administration of the booster is optional.

Eligible groups include persons over 70 years old; those who live or work in senior homes and closed facilities; and immunocompromised or immunosuppressed patients, provided that a period of five months has elapsed since receiving the third dose.

Those over 70 must show an identification document (identity card, passport) and vaccination card. Immunocompromised and immunosuppressed patients will be contacted by the ministry to arrangement for an appointment, or they can visit the walk-in vaccination centres by presenting a medical certificate from a specialist. Appointments can also be booked through the government website.

The walk-in centres will be open Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday: 8 am – 3 pm; Wednesdays: 8 am – 6 pm and Saturdays: 8 am – 1 pm.

Centre locations are as follows:

Nicosia: State Exhibition grounds

Larnaca: Old Larnaca Hospital

Limassol: Linopetra (by appointment only), Spyros Kyprianou Sports Centre

Paphos: Paphos General Hospital

Kyperounta: Vaccination center on former SPE grounds

Pfizer, Moderna and J&J vaccines will be available at walk-in centres on different days, as follows:

Mondays: Moderna

Tuesdays: Pfizer

Wednesdays: Pfizer 8 am-6pm; Moderna 3 pm-6 pm

Thursdays: Pfizer

Fridays: J&J and Moderna

 

Saturdays: Moderna and Pfizer
