Police investigating hit and run after cyclist taken to hospital

A 61-year-old cyclist was hit by a car in Paphos, police said on Sunday.

The incident took place on Saturday morning where a car hit the British cyclist and fled the scene, leaving the man unattended. The man was taken to the hospital and is described as being out of danger.

According to witness statements, the car was a pickup truck and officers are attempting to confirm the driver’s identity. The incident took place in Ayia Marina Chrysochous and the Gialias beach under conditions which are being investigated.
