A plastic bag containing the charred remains of a small animal, believed to be a puppy, was found by a member of the public outside a veterinary clinic in Larnaca, the Animal Party said on Friday.

The party said it was shocked by the find and condemned “this kind of barbaric behaviour”.

“It’s a shame that we must witness such an appalling situation. We hope the police find the perpetrators and put them on trial as provided by the laws of our country,” a statement said.

The party said it would keep the public informed about the outcome of the case.
