Man arrested in Paralimni for stabbing incident

A 20-year-old man was arrested in Famagusta district for a case of stabbing, threat, joint assault and injury.

According to police statement, on Friday night during an argument with three roommates while at home, the 20-year-old allegedly verbally threatened them, then attacked them with knife injuring one, a 20-year-old man, who suffered skin lesions to his right hand.

The three men left the scene with the 20-year-old suspect following them. When the three entered a nearby friend’s house, the suspect fled the spot.

Police rushed to the location, while a court order was issued for the arrest of the suspect.

Shortly before noon on Sunday, the 20-year-old was located in the vicinity of ​​the incident and taken into police custody.

The incident is under ongoing investigation by Paralimni police.
