Man arrested for car arson in Limassol

A 45-year-old man was arrested for arson on Tuesday morning. According to police statement the car was set on fire in the early morning hours on Monday, while the vehicle was parked outside the home of its 30-year-old owner, in Limassol.

Members of the police and fire service rushed to the scene and extinguished the fire which had caused extensive damages.

Examinations at the scene revealed that the fire had been set maliciously, and testimony was obtained against the 45-year-old suspect, for committing the arson.

The man was arrested with a court warrant and detained. The case is under ongoing investigation.
