New EAC general manager appointed

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) on Wednesday announced its decision to appoint Adonis Yiasemides as the new general manager.

The decision was taken during a meeting of the board of directors of the authority on Tuesday.

Yiasemidis will be employed with a five-year-contract.

To date, he holds the position of the distribution system owner activity manager at the Electricity Authority while Alexis Michael is serving as deputy general manager.

Yiasemides holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA).

The Authority’s decision will be sent to cabinet for ratification.
