Seven large motorcycles and one car were confiscated by police during traffic checks in Limassol between Tuesday and Wednesday morning, police said.

Also, when a car driven by a 19-year-old was stopped for a check, the motorist attacked police, they said. He was arrested and tested positive for drugs.

Police said targeted traffic controls continue daily throughout Cyprus.

“The only goal is the prevention of deadly and serious traffic collisions,” they said.
