Two more suspects, both aged 26, were arrested in relation to an armed robbery in Paphos.

The case was reported to the police by a 44-year-old man on Tuesday who said that while he was inside his parked car around 2am that day, an unknown man wearing balaclava and dark-coloured clothes entered the car. Under the threat of a knife, he told him to drive, the complainant said.

After driving a short distance, the suspect allegedly told the driver to stop and exit the car.

He then moved into the driver’s seat and fled. Inside the car, there was a wallet which contained a small amount of money and credit cards as well as a cell phone.

Police said they arrested two men, aged 26, on Thursday after evidence emerged connecting them with the robbery.

During a search in their homes, officers found five shotgun shells at the house of one of the suspects.

For the same case, a 28-year-old man was remanded earlier this week.
