Man held after stolen items found in his house

Paphos police on Tuesday arrested a 48-year-old after finding products and money, believed to be stolen, in his possession, and have also issued an arrest warrant for a 37-year-old also wanted, in connection with case.

The police acted on a complaint made on Monday by the owner of the Paphos store which had been broken into between June 12-13. The shop had CCTV cameras.

The burglars stole €2,200 in cash as well as products whose value is estimated at €40,000.

After a search of the house of the 48-year-old, at which the 37-year-old suspect also lives, jewellery, wallets watches, etc. were found and taken as evidence.
