British man takes tumble at Sea Caves, rescued and hospitalised

A British man aged 21 was injured on Saturday in a fall at the Sea Caves in Cape Greco.

Authorities said they received a call before 4pm and mobilised with a rescue team including marine police, and a lifeguard as well as an ambulance.

The man was given first aid, stabilised and taken to Famagusta hospital.

The public are reminded that it is prohibited to dive from the sea caves in Cape Greco because the ground has been deemed hazardous due to erosion.
