Two men in possession of knuckle dusters arrested by Paphos police

Paphos police on Tuesday arrested two people, 21-year-old and 26-year-old men, for illegal possession of offensive weapons.

According to the police statement, at around 2 am in the morning members of the Paphos crime prevention unit on vehicle patrol at Tombs of the Kings Avenue, intercepted a car for control. A body search of the 21-year-old passenger revealed a knuckle duster, which is considered an offensive weapon. The man was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.

Elsewhere, close to 3 am, on Sotiraki Markidis Street, police stopped a 26-year-old cyclist, who was also caught in possession of a knuckle duster. The man was also arrested for possession of an offensive weapon and taken into custody.
