Man arrested with large amounts of hidden money

Police in Limassol arrested a 29-year-old suspected of importing and dealing drugs, they announced on Friday.

Members of the drug squad Ykan found the suspect after receiving testimony against him.

Police searched the suspect’s home, where they found a total of €42,950, of which €15,000 were in a freezer, and €23,000 in box behind the fridge. The rest of the money was found in different areas of the home, police said.

Questioned by police, the suspect failed to give clear answers for the origin of the money.
