Man, 62, found dead on farm was killed by cows, post-mortem finds

A 62-year-old man died in Aradippou, after sustaining a chest injury from a cow’s hoof after being trampled on a cattle farm, reports said.

According to the reports, the 62-year-old was found dead on Thursday by his brother at the livestock unit in Aradippou in the Larnaca district.

A forensic pathologist at the scene excluded the possibility of foul play and it was initially thought the victim had died from a cause other than criminal action.

However, a post-mortem was performed on Friday by state pathologist Nicolas Charalambous, during which it was determined that the death was caused by a compression injury to the chest from a cow’s hoof.

The reports said the man had been trampled by cattle.
