Storms expected on Thursday

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected in parts of the island on Thursday, with similar weather expected across the island until Saturday, the meteorological service said.

Storms will be expected mostly on the southern coasts and the eastern part of the island on Thursday afternoon, while the temperature is expected to fall to 17 degrees C inland tonight, 19 on the coasts, and 12 in the mountains.

On Friday, the weather is expected to be cloudier, with isolated storms and showers across the island. Temperatures are expected to be 28 degrees C inland during the day, 27 on the coasts, and 18 in the mountains.

Isolated storms are also expected during the day on Saturday, mostly in rural areas in the afternoon.

The weather is expected to clear up on Sunday and Monday.

Earlier in the week, storms battered the island, with many areas in Paphos, Larnaca and Nicosia experiencing flooding.
