Nicosia police on Monday arrested a 41-year-old man to facilitate investigations into a case of theft and illegal possession of drugs.
The arrest followed a complaint to police that an unknown person had stolen a bicycle worth €500 from a residence.
A purse was found at the scene of the theft, containing a nylon bag with drugs, as well as various documents, which led to the arrest of the suspect.
Strovolos police are continuing the investigation.
