In today’s episode, in an interview published in the Sunday edition of the German newspaper Die Welt, President Nicos Anastasiades said that Cyprus could supply the European Union with natural gas much sooner, if Brussels strengthened its support for the development of the supply infrastructure. In other news, the island’s former Foreign Minister and current presidential frontrunner Nikos Christodoulides allegedly came to a secret agreement with centrist party DIKO in return for the party’s backing in the elections, local media reported on Sunday. And, one death per day from coronavirus is recorded, according to Michalis Voniatis, member of the scientific advisory group in Cyprus.
