Man arrested in Paphos for speeding and drunk driving

Police in Paphos intercepted a twenty-seven-year-old driving intoxicated and at excessive speed on Sunday.

According to the police spokesperson around 7 pm a 27-year-old man was caught driving without a license, or insurance at 73 km per hour instead of 50 which.

Following a police check, it was established that the man was driving under the influence of alcohol with an indication of 43 mg instead of 22 mg, which is the permitted limit and moreover he was found to be residing illegally in the Republic.

The man was arrested and taken into custody while investigations continue.
