Limassol police on Monday night rescued a family from Nicosia who lost their way on a nature trail in Troodos in inclement weather.

According to the police, the family, with two children aged seven and 11, had started their walk at 3pm but became disoriented as night fell, and called the police around 5.30pm for help.

Police located the family shortly after 7pm in a remote area, approximately three kilometres from their point of origin, and transported them safely back to their parked car.
