Anti-flood works to begin in Limassol after New Year

The junction of Spyros Kyprianou avenue and Nicou Pattichi street in Limassol will be closed between January 2 and 8 for anti-flood works, the Limassol sewerage board said on Thursday.

According to a written statement, during the works the western lanes of Nicou Pattichi street, about 50 metres north of the junction, will be closed, with two-way traffic diverted to the eastern lanes.

At the same time, the northern lanes of Spyros Kyprianou avenue, from its junction with Theoodrou Potamianou and Nicou Pattichi streets will be closed to all vehicles, with traffic diverted through Theodorou Potamianou, Apostolos Varnavas streets and the highway.

The statement called on the public to show the necessary patience and understanding and comply with the temporary road markings.
