Today’s Weather: Storms, weather warning in place

On Monday the weather will be cloudy with local rains, isolated storms and hail possible. A yellow weather warning is in place until 7 pm.

Winds will be mainly south-westerly, moderate to strong, up to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be rough. Temperatures will rise to 21 C in the interior and the coasts and 11 C in the higher mountains.

On Monday night the weather will remain mainly cloudy with isolated rains and possible storms. Winds will be north-westerly to north-easterly, weak, up to 3 Beaufort. The sea will be a little rough. Temperatures will drop to 7 C inland, 10 C on the coast and 4 C in the higher mountains.

On Tuesday, the weather will continue partly cloudy with showers and isolated thunderstorms at intervals. Sleet or snow may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.

On Wednesday and Thursday the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated rains.

Temperatures are expected to remain steady, slightly above average for the season.
