Paphos district court remanded a 41-year-old man for three days on Saturday over illegal property possession.

The suspect was arrested around 8.30pm on Friday when officers stopped his car for a check.

Paphos CID chief Michalis Nicolaou said the man tested positive to a narcotest while property that is suspected to have been stolen was found inside his car.

The items found concerned batteries, metal utensils, electrical items, a suitcase with coins and an electric motor.

Burglary tools were also found in his possession, Nicolaou said.
