Man arrested for drug possession in Ayia Napa

A 38-year-old man was remanded for six days after he appeared in Famagusta court on charges of drugs possession.

The police explained that the drug squad saw the man placing various items in an Ayia Napa car park which later turned out to be various amounts of drugs in different plastic bags.

At various points at the scene and on his person, the police found a 2g bag of cannabis, another with 8g of cannabis and yet another with 3.5g of cocaine.

The drug squad also found baggies with 23g of cannabis, others with 16 MDMA pills and another with 5g of cocaine.

Famagusta’s drug squad is continuing their investigation.
