Cyprus not added to US visa waiver, embassy says

The USA denied reports on Thursday that Cyprus had been added to the country’s Visa Waiver Programme.

A written statement from the US embassy in Nicosia said the “reports are false.”

“Cyprus has not yet met all of the threshold requirements for admission to the programme.”

The embassy said Cypriots wishing to travel to the US still required a visa.
