Ties with Iraq to be enhanced

The foreign ministers of Cyprus, Greece, Jordan and Iraq met on Sunday in Amman to discuss issues concerning financial, trade and tourist cooperation.

Among issues discussed was how Cyprus and Greece, as members of the EU, could help the reconstruction of Iraq.

Moreover, an Honorary Consul of Cyprus has been appointed in Iraq, while efforts are underway for Cypriot construction companies to participate in Iraq’s reconstruction.

According to the Cyprus News Agency, direct scheduled flights connecting the two countries will be begin in about 15 days.
