Coronavirus: Police issue 122 fines

ΠΡΟΣΑΓΩΓΗ ΥΠΟΠΤΩΝ ΣΤΟ ΕΠΑΡΧΙΑΚΟ ΔΙΚΑΣΤΗΡΙΟ ΛΑΡΝΑΚΑΣ

Police reported 121 people and one establishment in the past 24 hours for violating measures put in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

A force spokesman said they carried out 9,991 checks across the island, most in Nicosia, 3,345, where 30 individuals and one establishment were fined.

In Limassol, officers issued fined to 36 people while 14 were booked in Larnaca during 1,322 checks.

In Paphos, police conducted 868 checks, booking 14 people, while in Famagusta, officers issued fined to 14 people during 1,239 checks.

Three people were fined in the Morphou area during 820 checks.

Traffic officers also issued one fine after 458 checks.
