Coronavirus: Police report 157 people and four establishments for violating restrictions

Over the past 24 hours police issued fines to 157 people and four establishments caught flouting measures in place to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

Police said they carried out 13,059 checks across the island during which they booked 51 people and two establishments in Nicosia and 47 people and one establishment in Limassol.

In Famagusta, police issued fines to 30 individuals while 15 and one establishment were booked in Paphos.

Five individuals were fined in Larnaca and two in the Morphou area, police said.

Traffic officers also booked seven people.
