Coronavirus: Mobile unit to vaccinate people of Athienou

A Nurse Prepares A Vaccine Against The Coronavirus Disease (covid 19) At The Health Centre Of Latsia In The Capital Nicosia

A mobile unit will vaccinate 230 people aged 65 and older in Athienou on Saturday, the Athienou municipality announced on Friday.

“The ministry of health has listened to a request from the municipality to help residents who want to be vaccinated against the coronavirus, live in the area of Athienou and find it difficult to go to the vaccination centers of cities,” the announcement said.

The residents will be injected with the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine.

Vaccination will start at 8.30am and will take place at the Athienou health centre.

The 230 residents have been informed at which time they have to arrive at the centre to avoid overcrowding.

The Mayor of Athienou, Kyriakos Kareklas, thanked the health ministry and the staff who will assist with the vaccination.
