Cyprus participates in multinational aeronautical exercise “NOBLE DINA-2021”

military exercise

Cyprus took part in the annual aeronautical exercise Noble Dina 2021, which took place in the west of the island between March 7 and 11 with forces from Greece, France, USA, and Israel, the host country.

Cyprus participated in all phases of the exercise with offshore patrol vessel Commodore Andreas Ioannides, a National Guard AW-139 helicopter and the Search and Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC).

The exercise included various activities, which included advanced manoeuvres and formations, escorts, tactical game, anti-submarine warfare and aeronautical cooperation, as well as a search and rescue exercise, coordinated by the JRCC.

Ioannides acted as the coordinator.

The participation of the units and personnel in the exercise is considered to be particularly successful, as it provided them with a substantial and practical possibility of operational joint training in various areas of common interest, in the framework of cooperation between neighboring and friendly countries, a National Guard statement said.
