The converted school bus that’s home to a family of four

Homes come in many shapes and sizes, and there is something wonderful about fashioning a dwelling from the most unlikely of foundations.

We celebrate this spirit of ingenuity in this video, when we meet Ian and Hannah, their kids, two-year-old Nora and two-month-old Atlas, and their chihuahua named Girlie.

The couple designed and built their home out of a school bus… how’s that for getting creative?

Some of this home’s unique features include a crib, a macramé bassinet, a farmhouse-style kitchen, an apron front sink and a floating shelf that holds a variety of thrifted décor.

The home runs on 2400 watts of solar power, to be off-grid friendly, while also carrying fitness equipment to allow the young family a low-carbon footprint and a healthy way of life.
