Coronavirus: 4,455 checks, 18 people booked

ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ – ΛΗΣΤΕΙΑ ΥΠΑΛΛΗΛΟΥ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑΣ

Police booked 18 people for violating coronavirus protocols after 4,455 checks nationwide in the last 24 hours.

Nicosia police carried out the majority of checks, counting 1,236, with just one violation. In Limassol, 13 people were booked after 750 checks and another three in Paphos from 613 checks. Larnaca police checked 580 people and Famagusta officers another 478 without any bookings.

One person was also fined after 440 checks in Morphou.

Traffic and marine police carried out 358 and 187 checks respectively, without identifying any violations.

Health protocol violations include among others, failure to wear a face mask, breaking the midnight curfew, or not having a SafePass when visiting indoor crowded areas.
