Coronavirus: Vaccination portal for those aged 61-65 reopens (Updated)

ΕΜΒΟΛΙΑΣΜΟΙ ΚΑΤΑ ΤΟΥ Covid 19

The vaccination portal reopened on Wednesday morning for those aged between 61 and 65, with more openings coming later in the week.
The portal reopenings are part of the health ministry’s effort to cover gaps in the national vaccination coverage by offering a second chance to people who may have missed their opportunity to book vaccinations the first time around.
People in the 61-65 age group can book a vaccination appointment until 5.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
The portal will reopen at 7.30 on Friday morning for those in the 46-49 age group, and close at 5.30 on Saturday afternoon.
The ministry said that between Monday and Tuesday, when the portal opened for 18–21-year-olds, 10,700 appointments out of 15,920 available were booked.
The goal of vaccinating 65 per cent of the population with at least one dose of the anti-coronavirus vaccine by June is achievable, health minister Constantinos Ioannou said on Tuesday.
He added that as of Monday, 45.2 per cent of the population (334,258 people) had received their first vaccine dose, and 15.5 per cent (114,476 people) were fully vaccinated.
