Coronavirus: 20 people fined after 4,234 checks

ΛΕΜΕΣΟΣ – ΛΗΣΤΕΙΑ ΥΠΑΛΛΗΛΟΥ ΕΤΑΙΡΕΙΑΣ

Police fined 20 people after 4,234 checks for the implementation of coronavirus measures in the 24 hours leading up to 6am on Friday.

Between 6am on Thursday and 6am on Friday, police fined two people after 710 checks in Nicosia, eight in Limassol after 626 checks, four in Famagusta after 681 checks and another six in Paphos after 777 checks.

No violations were reported in Larnaca and Morphou after 536 and 391 checks respectively.

Traffic police also checked 464 drivers while port and marine police carried out 39 checks without reporting any violations.

Breaches in Covid protocols include failure to wear a face mask and breaking the midnight curfew.
