Paphos police were investigating one more case of forgery after the arrest of a 22-year-old African man at Paphos airport.

According to police, the man was arrested on Monday afternoon at the airport before departing for Treviso, Italy, after showing a French identity card.

Officers determined that the 22-year-old man gave fake information about his identity and placed him under arrest for forgery.

Authorities have arrested numerous individuals in recent days who tried to fly to other EU countries using fake documents.
