Mother and partner accused of sexually abusing her children

A mother and her partner have been accused of sexually abusing and exploiting three of her daughters and are facing 17 charges, local media reported on Wednesday.

Among the charges, the couple are accused of producing child pornography as local media reported that the man requested the woman to carry out obscene acts against the children, further asking them to be recorded and photographed.

Both adults have been arrested and are expected to face court in mid-November. Both deny the accusations against them.

The Cyprus Mail contacted the police press office which said it could neither confirm nor deny the reports, while a senior police source said they had no comment on the matter.
