Twelve computer towers were among evidence taken by police on Saturday night during an investigation into a property in Paphos suspected as operating as an illegal gambling operation.

After securing a search warrant, officers searched the establishment, believed to be a secondary school, for operating casino games in contravention of the relevant law.

The search took place in the presence of the person responsible for the building and in addition to the 12 towers, police took two modems which were considered suspicious.

Paphos CID is investigating.
