In today’s episode, the new head of the embattled Health Insurance Organisation which runs Gesy said yesterday they are committed to tackling all outstanding issues affecting the agency, beginning with their budget for fiscal year 2023.

Stavros Michail – appointed to the job only last week – said they would work hard throughout the week so that they prepare their budget and forward it to the ministries of health and finance.

In other news, the possibility of building a railway, co-financed with the European Union, was floated on Monday after a meeting between government officials and visiting EU Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean.

Elsewhere, the two people arrested in connection with crowd violence during a football match between Apoel and Karmiotissa on Friday will appear in court on October 12.
